Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning

Abt brings monitoring, evaluation, research and learning (MERL) approaches together to generate evidence-based insights about program quality and impact. We take a principles-based approach to develop simple and efficient, context-specific MERL systems that meet client and stakeholder needs for accountability and learning.

We draw on our technical toolbox and networks to align best practices and internationally recognised methods with locally led objectives and insights. We believe ‘MERL is everybody’s business’ and develop solutions to truly embed MERL practice across program functions.
